Get Involved in Advocacy

One of the great things about being an advocate for lupus is you need not be an expert. Everyone can communicate with their Representative or Senator in a variety of ways (write a letter, Email, Fax, phone call, etc.). A simple, heartfelt letter that tells your story would do much to advance the lupus agenda. In your communication, be sure to ask your legislator to do what they can to appropriate money to fund research into a cure for lupus. Whether it be a school, place of worship, company or civic group, we are appreciative of all gifts that aid us in combating lupus. The need has never been greater. In the past decade, researchers have made great progress in the diagnosis, treatment, and understanding of lupus.
