Roads We Have Traveled
A new addition to our website is entitled “Roads We Have Traveled”, a collection of personal stories about life with lupus. As those with lupus discover, there are many roads we travel with this disease, some that are new to us and others where we have been many times. Others may go down the same route but there are always some new twists and turns, bumps and ruts that make it a little different journey. Sometimes just knowing others have been there before and survived is all we need to know to make it easier to get through. Other times a helpful tip or suggestion is what is most useful. We hope that you will use this site to tell your story of how you traveled these roads and give our visitors an opportunity to share the experience.
The stories can be from someone who has lupus, a parent of someone with lupus, a sibling, significant other, spouse or friend. If you have any questions please call the office at 1 (866) 415-8787
Each month we will highlight a different "Road We Have Traveled". These stories can be between 1-3 pages in length, typed and submitted by e-mailing us here.
Please be sure to include your name and personal information such as age, date of diagnosis, type of lupus, marital status, children etc., in order for us to post a little information about each writer with their story.
All stories submitted to us are subject to editorial changes before being placed on our website. If any changes are needed, you will be notified and asked for your approval. If you would like to remain anonymous, be sure to mention this in your e-mail. We will always e-mail you to let you know if your story has been approved and,when it will be on our website.
